A meeting of the new App Drivers Union today. There’s a lot of work left to do. It’s going to be a long tough ride. 
People from every country in the world are here today. Many are newly arrived. They don’t know the language and they don’t know the culture. This is their entry into working life in America.
The problems they face have a lot to do with language and cultural barriers. They also don’t know how to work the system of the rideshare apps. Many are deactivated without explanation. They lose their income and cannot support their families. This is a John Steinbeck novel come to life.
